Turn off the water supply. Flush the toilet and remove any residual water from the toilet cistern. Undo the water feed pipe to the toilet fill valve. Undo the retaining nut that holds the fill valve in place. Remove the fill valve from the toilet. Insert the new fill valve into the toilet cistern.Remove and throw away the rags or towel from the outflow pipe. Fit the new flange snugly into the outflow pipe, creating a seal with the gasket and resting the outer lip flush to the floor.
