Kairos – meaning “God’s Time” in Greek – is a student-facilitated weekend retreat that allows for intentional reflection on relationships with God, self, and others away from the chaos of campus. Kairos is offered 12 times a year. Kairos is open to students of all faith backgrounds and experiences. Students are asked to deepen their understanding of who they are and who God is calling them to be through annual retreats. Every student participates in an annual retreat culminating in their Kairos Retreat experience senior year. During retreat, students are invited into reflection and dialogue rooted in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. The Kairos Retreat aims to create an environment away, a moment in “God’s time”, in which participants may be awakened to the ever-present love of God.
